About Bababarbi Pet Painting

Bababarbi was my first web nickname. It was given to me by my daughter when I asked her to open me an Instagram account. I liked it and I let it be. It's a blend of two words. The first is "baba" which means a woman in Slovenian language and it has similar meanings in many languages. Barbi is what my family call me and is't a short for Barbara.

I've always loved art. I love colors. I also love having pets. Since I was a kid I've had dogs, cats, hampsters, parakeets, guinea pigs, a turtle, a dormouse. At present two dogs and a cat are my sweet ones. A border collie Rena, a papillon Fija and Archimedo a cat rescued from a farm at two weeks old by my daughter after its mother was hit by a car.

I like personal gifts, so I painted a few pet portraits for my friends. I recently realised painting brings me much more joy than working as a graphical designer which I've been ever since I graduated as an architect. So I decided to offer it to everyone who loves this kind of art as I do.
